I just recevied my mid-year exam timetable during CT period today. The format (as in the way in which the things are presented) are totally different from PL. Something is amiss. There is no longer a bible verse right at the bottom of the exam timetable.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil 4:13

That was the verse which motivated me to strive on during my four years in PL. Its really a beautiful verse. my juniors printed it on a card and distributed to all my classmates last year. How thoughtful! =)) I'm proud to say that i still have that cute little card in my wallet. wu jia zhi bao(priceless treasure)

I was packing my things last weekend and found a copy of the PL epistle. A little portion of the epistle caught my attention. That was an aticle on Mrs Robert Eu, PL's late principal. She was always giving this particular quote-

"If you educate a boy, you educate a man
If you educate a girl, you educate a family"

wellwell. how true. I believe that was the reason why she insisited on keeping the "all girls" culture in PL, even when the moe threatened not to give us the building funds.

By the way, i saw lean may (yes! goh lean may) my lab partner on friday=)) i miss smelling ammonia aq with her during pracitcals. she was the one who guided me patiently during physics and chem prac, advising me to stop my titration when the thingy reachers about 25 cubic centimetre? she was the one who completed the 2.4km run with me last year. she was the insane one who said i that i had the cheena face.haha. i miss her loads and i guess she must have missed me too. thats a muual feeling. oops.bhb

Alright. off to complete my literature essay.Lit is getting tough. comparison of poem is not easy. argh! somebody help me!

Meeting up with 0601 never fail to cheer me up. YES! i met up with the 0601 oeisters at marche and i believe all of us had a fun time there! After which, we had swensens and huifang my twinnie gobbled three chicken wings continously! -grins. We took some hilarious videos with us disappearing out of a sudden and justina casting as THE MAN-ah bong.=))

Alright. went to the AJC choir concert with sylvia zhang on thursday. Shitian and wenying were there too! nice to meet them (they're my fellow guzheng peeps!) Seying was absolutely expressive and she swayed alot when singing.She must be so indulged in the music! I was spotting high and low for her malcom and came to a conclusion that a particular guy who was wearing specs standing at the front row was malcom. Sylvia and i kept looking at the guy and gave our opinions on whether they're compatible. But after the concert , seying revealed that malcom doesnt wear specs. haii. what a waste.

We proceeded to lao pa sat after seying's dismissal. Everyone seemed so streesed. Like sylvia complaining about her never ending tests in temasek, wenying nagging about the guzheng tuan in national, seying sharing about her lousy facilities in anderson and shitian- ah well, i think shes enjoying herself in vjc. The ajc choir was impressive and i feel that they really deserve the gold with honours! not only did they sing well, they provided visual effects too. There were movements and clappings and it was such a joy watching them perform.=))

Alright. back to my point. We still gotta see her malcom afterall.We were at lao pa sat drinking when a whole bunch of choir members came by. Seying then pointed out that malcom was in the group. However, she didnt want to show us which washim.but we had our own ways of doing things. When the group walked past, we shouted MALCOM and the last guy turned back. AH! thats him. and dearest seying was utterly embarrassed.oops!

Its an early day for me today. I love tuesdays, yes i really do!

The general election is finally over and as you can see, PAP is again the government. I'm glad that mr low thia khiang won the election (cheers! workers party. i've got the wristband too!) On the other hand, I pity mr sitoh. I can clearly see his contributions towards the community and i believe that hes a nice guy. so why not him? it seems to be a little unfair cos people like LBW, who is a newcomer, got a seat in the parliment just becos her"master" won the election in AMK GRC. nothing is fair, and i just hope that mr sitoh yih pin would win the election the next time round.Oops. i'm not against anyone here, its just purely my point of view.

Anyway, i had my napfa test completed yesterday. Five items were generally alright, but the 2.4km run was a killer! i'm doomed. i think i am one of those who would need to go for afternoon PE, and the thoguht of running freaks me out. I suggest that the MOE should abolish napfa test or at least, change the system of doing things. For example,

a) instead of running 2.4km, 1.6km would be more than enough.
b)or if moe insist on the 2.4km run, they shouldnt have timed us.I believe its better to let us
complete the run at our own pace. (you wouldnt wanna see people suffering from asthma
attacks/heatstroke after the run, would you?)

Dont you think these are slendid suggestions? Anyway, i'm really thankful to have xiaoyan around yesterday. She came to me after the torturous run and said" GOOD RUN". that was defintely encouraging and she even offered to get my water bottle for me.=) thanks! mel chua came up and asked if i was alright. YES! thats the PL spirit, i can feel the PL spirit once again!
Back then in PL, my classmates would pull/drag me through the final lap just to show that they care and that they're supportive! I thank God for putting these wonderful people into my life!

AJC just cant stop having concerts! I'm totally broke because of my 2 sweetie pie friends in AJC. Seying has a choir concert on thurday and Serena-nana has a conert on friday! I've to go for both because dear seying insisted that I should go and give her support while I promised nana that I would go for one for her concerts when she got through DSA last year. I'm anticipating to see seying sing=)) shes in sop one and thats kinda incredible. really.(if u've heard her before)

I was having lunch in the canteen with minwei yesterday.Miss the good old times back then in PL.I remeber us squatting along the so-called drain when the canteen was too packed, gossping about the praying mantis low.(poor mr low) Minwei was absolutely distracted cos her eyes were wandering about looking at strange species that we totally lack in a girls school. Every strange creature that walked past would make her feel high and that she would either comment that they're "cute", or"good looking".(althoguh sometimes i dont agree with her) thats the impact for being in a girls school for 10 years.

Aye. i'm still trying to adapt to this mixed school. "you need to learn to be gentle and sit properly" some of my new classmates commented, cos there are weird creatures around.Nobody cares about the way we sit back then, we changed freely in the classrooms and even went to the gents when the ladies was over crowded. But now, all these privileges are stripped away from us. how sad.

I'm looking forward to good friday! its the monthly 0601 gathering again! i'll not miss it!
